Okay, so this has basically become a sports blog. That could change at any second, but at the moment, I'm only pissed off about sports. Today its David Beckham.
Is it that big of a deal if he leaves MLS? Was anyone watching while he was there? He didn't raise the profile of the league, he raised the profile of himself. He passed his prime 5 years ago and hes 33, turning 34 in May, which I suppose means he fits in perfectly with all the other geriatric players in Milan.
Yet after all that, everyday theres another headline about him. Not just in England, that could be justified. He won the treble at Man U, he was England captain 58 times, I could understand that. But no, its ESPN that runs a story about every breath he takes at AC Milan. Its needless.
How about you run a story about what Barcelona is doing right now? 17-2-1 and they started the season 0-1-1. They're undefeated in their last 18, but no, we'll talk about Beckham having eggs this morning. They've got Lionel Messi, best player in the world and half the people at ESPN probably think its still Ronaldinho.
Has anyone heard of Zlatan Ibrahimovic? Fernando Torres? Cesc Fabregas? Gianluigi Buffon? Kaka?
Apparently not.
